For the sixth consecutive year, Fond du Lac County has been named as one of the “Healthiest Companies in America” by Interactive Health. This year, Fond du Lac County is one of 156 companies across the country being recognized for embracing the mission of employee wellness and valuing the overall health and well-being of its workforce.

“Being nationally recognized even one time for our employee health and well-being is a remarkable accomplishment for Fond du Lac County, but to achieve it six times in a row is testament to our employees who never cease to inspire me,” said County Executive Allen Buechel.

Participants in Interactive Health’s wellness program receive a thorough health evaluation to identify risk and learn about their health status. Through a combination of rapid outreach, connection to personal physicians and tailored resources, a personalized course of action is delivered to the participant resulting in improved or maintained health. In 2016, 72% of employees and spouses achieved a low-risk health score, which earned Fond du Lac County the “Healthiest Companies in America” designation.

This is the 10th year we’re honoring the Healthiest Companies in America and it continues to inspire us how successful the winning companies are in building and sustaining employee engagement and inspiring positive health outcomes,” said Interactive Health President and CEO Cathy Kenworthy. “It is possible to improve health through the right workplace initiatives, and it is smart business.”

“Having a healthier workforce has far-reaching effects that not only stand to benefit the individual employee and their family,” says Buechel, “but also the communities and populations we serve.”
