Vital records are birth, death and marriage records that are filed in this office as long the occurrence took place in this county.
Who may receive a certified copy of a vital record?
A person with a direct and tangible interest can receive a vital record. The guidelines are as follows:
- The person named on the record
- The parent of the person named on the record.
- The legal custodian or guardian of the person named on the record.
- A member of the immediate family(spouse, child, brother, sister or grandparent)
- An agent representing the person named on the record.
FEE SCHEDULE
The fee schedule for a certified copy is:
Birth Certificate - $20.00
Death Certificate - $20.00
Marriage Certificate - $20.00
A charge of $3.00 is required for each additional copy of the same record issued at the same time.
Out-of-State Residents - payment cashiers check or money order
