Flood Notice

Assessors from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were in Fond du Lac County on Tuesday, June 17, assessing damage in the aftermath of recent heavy rains and flooding. As FEMA completed their initial assessment, it is no longer necessary for property owners to call the County’s damage hotline to report damage until further notice. For general flood related information, please call 906-3347.

Instead, affected property owners should remain alert to local news reports to learn if Fond du Lac County has been included in the federal disaster declaration for individual assistance. Such declarations already have been granted to Crawford, Vernon, Sauk, Columbia, Dodge, Winnebago, and Milwaukee counties. Should Fond du Lac be included in the disaster declaration, FEMA will publish a toll-free telephone number for property owners to call and register and open local Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC).
