County Treasurer Julie Hundertmark began her career with Fond du Lac County in June of 1989. She began working in the Treasurer’s office in 1997 as a Tax Clerk. She was promoted to Accounts Receivable Clerk in 1999. Julie was appointed Deputy Treasurer in 2005 and served the county until October 2009 when she was appointed to the position of County Treasurer.

The county treasurer is a State Constitutional Officer, who is under the direction of the State Statutes and Fond du Lac County Codes and Ordinances. It is a partisan office, elected for a four year term in 2009.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the County Treasurer’s Office is to provide courteous, efficient and accurate service and information while maintaining records and upholding the fiduciary and statutory responsibilities required by the office.
Responsibilities:
Receipt, disburse and account for all monies received from taxpayers, departments and government agencies.
Collect and maintain records of all transactions affecting current and delinquent taxes and account for them on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
Complete the annual tax settlement with each of the 33 county municipalities, all school districts within the county and the State Department of Revenue.
Administer and maintain the Ag Use Penalty, Lottery Credit, Unclaimed County Funds and In Rem Tax Foreclosure records according to State Statutes.
Issue Tax Certificates on parcels with delinquent taxes and after two years foreclose and sell delinquent parcels.
Invest all available County Funds maintaining security while achieving maximum returns within the guidelines set by the County Investment Policy and State Statutes.
Services:
- Collect first installment of real estate tax payments for the City of Fond du Lac and the Village of North Fond du Lac.
- Collect second installment of real estate tax payments after January 31st for all municipalities in Fond du Lac County.
- Collect all delinquent real estate tax payments for all municipalities in Fond du Lac County.
- Provide current and delinquent tax information to the public, title and mortgage companies, banks and financial institutions.
- Maintain Lottery Credit changes.
