1. Call meeting to order.
2. Approve minutes of the September 24, 2018, meeting.
Motion (Meyer/Olm) to approve the minutes. Motion carried.
3. Members of the public who wish to address the committee on specific agenda items must register their requests at this time, with such comments subject to the reasonable control of the committee chair, as set forth in “Robert’s Rules of Order.”
4. Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) report.
a. The ADRC Expenses and Budget reports were presented, “Actual Thru 12/31/2017” and “Actual Thru 7/31/2018.” Rick Gedemer and Jill Triatik discussed these reports with the board. Budget reports will be provided to the board every six months in May and November.
b. Sandy Tryon discussed ADRC services. Healthy Living with Diabetes workshops will be held Jan. 17 to Feb. 21 at Agnesian Health Shoppe, Fond du Lac, and March 6 to April 10 at Holy Family Church, Fond du Lac. Programs in Waupun and Ripon will be scheduled soon. Promotional materials on these workshops were distributed.
d. Prevention service update. Mary Jo Neumann will be starting a six-week Stepping On program in 2019.
e. “Steering Into the Skid” is a one-act memory care play presented by professional actors. There are 12 short scenes all taking place in a couple’s SUV. The audience comes to know the husband and wife and bears witness to the early progression of dementia. This free 2½-hour event will be presented in the morning and evening on Dec. 18 in Oshkosh. Ms. Tryon plans to attend.
f. Save the date. A Senior Expo will be held May 7, 2019, in Fond du Lac. The committee is in the planning stage for vendors.
Motion (Olm/Brink) to receive the ADRC report and place on file. Motion carried.
5. Future agenda items.
Future agenda items include election of officers at the January meeting.
6. Meeting dates for 2019.
Meetings will be held at 4 p.m. on Jan. 28, March 25, May 20, July 22, Sept. 23, and Nov. 25.
