Commission on Aging



1. Call meeting to order.

Chair Karen Madigan called the meeting to order at 9 a.m.


2. Roll call.

Also present was Senior Services Director Esther Mukand.


3. Approve minutes of the October 2, 2019, meeting.

Motion (Prill/Rickert) to approve the minutes. Motion carried.


4. Members of the public who wish to address the commission on specific agenda items must register their requests

at this time, with such comments subject to the reasonable control of the commission chair, as set forth in “Robert’s Rules of Order.”

There was no public comment.


5. Senior Services report for September 2019.

Esther Mukand discussed the Senior Services report for September 2019, which is attached, and explained that the transportation grant public hearing will be Nov. 13. Ms. Mukand gave the report from the Senior Center, which is attached. Commission member Depperman reported that he attended Stephanie Treptow’s program on elder benefits at the library and that it was very good. Ms. Mukand stated that Ms. Treptow will be doing programs quarterly. Motion (Rickert/Depperman) to receive the reports and place on file. Motion carried.


6. Next meeting date.

The next meeting is at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, in Room H of the Government Center.


7. Adjournment.

Motion (Rickert/Depperman) to adjourn the meeting at 9:25 a.m. Motion carried.
