1. Call meeting to order.

Co-chair Brendan Wood-Taylor called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.


2. Approve minutes of the February 3, 2020, meeting.

Motion (Paul/Kolstad) to approve the minutes. Motion carried, 5-0.


3. Remarks by visitors/correspondence.

Leadership Fond du Lac sign update:

  • $3,000 limit
  • Location of signage (4) – shelter, kiosk, north and south ends of bike trail
  • Signage design
    • Map of area with trails
    • Two smaller signs

 4. Treasurer report.

There was nothing to report for this month.


5. Educational programming.

a. Margie Winter is taking care of the plant sale. At 6:30 p.m. on March 18, she’ll be doing a program on native plants in the Large Group Instruction Room at UW-Fond du Lac. Fran Paul will present a Sustain Fond du Lac program at 6:30 p.m. on April 15 at UW-Fond du Lac.


b. There will be a local native prairie panel on May 20. Committee members should think of people or organizations to participate.


6. Plate for the Prairie 2020.

Discussion was held on moving the event to a Sunday in September at Urban Fuel.


7. Tour requests.

Ms. Winter and Ms. Paul will volunteer.


8. Prairie Fest.

A meeting is scheduled at 6 p.m. on March 16 at the library.


Ms. Winter provided a prairie burn update. She’ll be working with Jon Kellermann to organize the burn, which will take place toward the end of March.


9. Future meeting dates.

General/education committees:  6 p.m., April 6, Fond du Lac Public Library.


10. Adjournment.

Motion (Kolstad/Wood-Taylor) to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 p.m. Motion carried, 6-0.
