Reports from the districts –
North Fond du Lac district reported that they are now a paramedic level ambulance service. Mr. Nelson discussed some of the related issues such as staffing.
Campbellsport service runs are way ahead of last year.
Mt. Calvary is expecting delivery of a new ambulance by the end of November. Calls are also ahead.
Fond du Lac calls are up as well. They put a new ambulance in service this summer. Electronic reporting is going well. Chief Joe Clow left September 1st and John Duffy is presently acting chief.
North Fond du Lac per capita rate is $13.00 per person.
Campbellsport District per capita for the Town and Village of Eden is $5.00 per person. The other municipalities are part of a district contract.
Mt. Calvary per capita rate is presently at $16.75 per person.
Fond du Lac is increasing the per capita rate from $13.00 to $23.00 per person in January, 2009.
The Committee discussed the request from the Town of Taycheedah to transfer the balance of the township – the Peebles, Taycheedah area from the Fond du Lac Ambulance District to the Mt. Calvary Ambulance district. Township representatives stated that they complied with all county requirements and that they are requesting transfer for financial reasons only due to per capita increase from Fond du Lac.
Some issues discussed were – new service distance and Mt. Calvary’s call capacity to handle transfer. The group was satisfied with the responses on these issues and motioned (Dornbrook/Larsen) to approve the transfer of the balance of the Town of Taycheedah from the Fond du Lac Ambulance District to the Mt. Calvary District. Motion carried.
No outstanding concerns from the group. However, the group did have positive reports about Flight for Life that began flying out of Fond du Lac in early August.
Motion (Atkinson/Nelson) to adjourn at 6:45 p.m. Motion carried.
