The Comprehensive Community Services Program (CCS) was created by the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services for persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse addiction.  The Fond du lac County Department of Human Services received licensure in September, 2006.  CCS in Fond du Lac county serves all ages, adults first, then elders, then children with Severe Emotional Disorder (SED) diagnosis.  The goal of CCS is to provide psychosocial rehabilitation services to consumers to reduce symptoms and restore consumers to their optimum level of functioning, stability and independence.

CCS operates on the mental health “Recovery Model,” is based on collaboration, on “doing more of what works and less of what doesn’t”, and is consumer-centered as well as strength- and outcome-based.

Services and goals are similar to those provided under our Comprehensive Community Services program, but expand to embrace the recovery concepts of empowerment: hope, rights, roles, responsibilities, dreams, goals and decisions, identified by the consumer, and facilitated by the Recovery Team.
