Volunteer Opportunities

A HUGE thank you to our current volunteers!

At the heart of Fond du Lac County’s Congregate Nutrition Program is a group of people whose generosity truly makes the program possible—our volunteers. Quite simply, the program could not operate without them.

Month after month, 45–50 caring volunteers generously shared their time to support four congregate dining sites across the county. These include the Eagles Club in Fond du Lac, catered by Boda’s, as well as Northgate Apartments in North Fond du Lac, Russell Manor Apartments in Ripon, and the Waupun Community Center in Waupun, with meals for those three sites provided by Feil’s Restaurant and Catering in Randolph, Wisconsin.

Volunteers assist with meal service, set-up and clean-up, greeting participants, and helping ensure each site feels warm and welcoming. Their role goes far beyond logistics. They help create spaces where older adults can connect, share conversation, and feel a sense of belonging. For many participants, these familiar, friendly faces are just as important as the meal itself.
