Plat Books
2024 plat books are now available for purchase at the Land & Water Conservation Department office or downtown at the County Clerk's office. The cost is $30.

Rental Equipment
Tree Planters
Fond du Lac County has three tree planters available to rent. An older heavy duty pull type which requires a tractor with a hydraulic system and two newer 3-point hitch. The rental fee for the planters is $20.00 per 1,000 trees. (A 1 7/8" ball is needed for for transporting the tree planters as well as for the use of the pull-type hydraulic planter.)
Three hand spades are available for use at no cost. A $25 refundable deposit is required.
Soil Probe
A soil probe is available. The probe can be rented for free but a $30.00 refundable deposit is requested.
Weight Pads
Weight pads can be rented for $40.00 per day. A refundable security fee of $100.00 will be requested.
ITEMS FOR PURCHASE
Root Gel
Root Gel is an absorbent material that retains water and reduces planting stress during dry periods. One ounce of Root Gel will treat 200 seedlings or 60 transplants. Root Gel sells for $1.50/ounce.
Tree Tubes
The county has 4' tree shelters available for purchase. Tree tubes are priced at $3.50/each ($175.00 per 50). Please call the office at (920) 906-4680 to check current availability.
Fond du lac County will no longer be offering the wildflower seed for purchase. Please contact Outagamie or Ozaukee County to purchase wildflower seeds.
Tree Sale
The Fond du Lac County Land and Water Conservation Department offers seedling trees for the following spring planting. The trees can be used to establish windbreaks, develop wildlife habitat, or reforest small areas. The tree forms become available late September/early October.
The trees are sold in increments of 50 and are sold on a first come, first served basis. Distribution of trees usually takes place in mid April, though the timing will vary dependent upon weather. Varieties and prices vary from year to year.
