The Fond du Lac County Floodplain Zoning Ordinance - Chapter 28 Article II is intended to regulate floodplain development to protect life, health, and property.  This ordinance regulates all areas that would be covered by a hundred year flood event.  Fond du Lac County adopted FEMA Floodplain Maps in 2009.  Maps are available for viewing on the County GIS mapping program, FEMA's website, or at the Code Enforcement Office.

The Floodplain maps depicted on the GIS mapping program are not the official floodplain maps for Fond du Lac County. These depictions should only be used for an approximation. The official floodplain maps are located in the Fond du Lac County Code Enforcement Office located at 160 South Macy St. Any questions should be directed to the Code Enforcement Office.

Below are commonly requested forms from FEMA relating to removal of properties for flood insurance purposes.  Specific questions about completing these forms will have to be directed to FEMA.

  • Elevation Certificate - used to verify new construction elevations.
  • MT-1 - Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA)
  • MT-2 - Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)
  • MT-EZ- Letter of Map Amendment for single structures or parcels (LOMA EZ)
