Specialized Children's Services
What is Specialized Children's Services?
Specialized Children’s Services provides individualized services and supports to families that have a child with a severe intellectual disability, physical disability, or mental health disorder. Specialized Children’s Services utilizes a variety of funding sources and programs to help meet the needs of the child and family.
These programs include:
- Children's Community Options Program (CCOP)
- Children's Long Term Supports (CLTS)
- Comprehensive Community Services Program (CCS)
- Coordinated Services Team (CST)
Who is Eligible?
- Individuals under the age of 18
- Diagnosed with a severe intellectual disability, physical disability, or mental health disorder which significantly restricts the child’s ability to function at age appropriate levels in the areas of self-care, learning, communicating, socialization, and/or mobility.
- The child must have an assessed need and meet the level of care determined through a functional eligibility screening process.
What Services are Offered?
A wide variety of services are available based on identified needs and outcomes. Services may include:
- Assistance in linking families to supports and services
- Adaptive Equipment
- Behavioral Supports
- Caregiver Training
- Daily Living Skills Training
- Home Modifications
- Respite
- Social Skills Training
- Specialized Recreational Opportunities
