After an Honor Tile order is submitted to Fond du Lac County, the veteran's information is reviewed and verified by the Veterans Services Department.
Once payment and verification are complete, the order is sent to Polar Engraving for production.
Orders are submitted to Polar Engraving in batches as additional orders are received. An Honor Tile may remain listed as UNAVAILABLE while we wait to submit the next batch of orders for production.
When the completed tiles arrive at Fond du Lac County, staff inspect them for accuracy and quality. Tiles are then sealed before being installed in Veterans Park. Coasters are shipped to the address provided on the order form.
Production and installation times
Production and installation times can vary. Polar Engraving has generally estimated approximately 6โ8 weeks for production and shipping after an order is submitted.
Actual installation may take longer depending on order processing, staffing, inspection, and installation schedules. Because the installation adhesive cannot be used during certain winter and extreme summer conditions, tiles ordered later in the year may be installed during the following installation season.
For the most current information about an individual order, please contact the Fond du Lac County Parks Department.
