Kinship Care is a program that provides assistance to relatives caring for children, on a temporary or long term basis (such as an adult brother or sister, a first cousin, a nephew or niece, an uncle or aunt, or a grandparent, among others).  This program provides a monthly payment of $232.00 per child to qualified relatives and as funding is available.

A family cannot receive Kinship Care benefits if the child they are caring for receives SSI for their own disability.

To Apply for Kinship or to determine if you are eligible call the Fond du Lac County Department of Social Services at (920) 929-3449.
