Award Program

The Fond Du Lac County Veterans Service Office has established a Certificate of Appreciation Award for our county.  This is a prestigious honor awarded to individuals or businesses who are making a positive impact on the veterans in Fond Du Lac County and beyond. 

The Fond Du Lac County Veterans’ Certificate of Appreciation Award is an award presented to a member(s) of the community (who need not be a veteran themselves) by the Fond Du Lac County Veteran Service Officer. The award recognizes individuals or organizations dedicated to the service and support of the veterans of our county. This award acknowledges their contribution(s) of stewardship in an effort to recognize and support those who have helped to and continue to instill an unwavering sense of community and unification amongst the service members of our county. 

Typically, the recipient(s) of the award will be announced in late September or early October each year. The announcement can be found on the veteran services webpage, on the official Facebook page, and on Instagram pages. The Fond Du Lac County Veteran Service Office will schedule a physical presentation of the award with the recipient(s). Each award recipient is given an official Certificate of Recognition signed by the County Executive and the County Veteran Service Officer, as a token of our appreciation for going above and beyond to support our veterans.

If you know someone who meets the above criterion, please send a nomination to veterans@fdlco.wi.gov and include their name, title and organization (if applicable), and a detailed description of their service to local veterans.
