Local Emergency Planning Committee
A. Composition:
Pursuant to federal legislation governing local emergency management, the committee has 17 members appointed by the county executive and confirmed by the County Board, including representatives of elected officials, law enforcement, civil defense, firefighting, first aid, health service, hospital, transportation, local environmental operations, broadcast/print media, community groups and owners/operators subject to the requirements of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act.
